About this policy
My French Doula provides doula support, sleep consulting and photography services in Orange County, California. This policy describes information collected through http://www.myfrenchdoula.com and enquiries sent to us. For privacy questions, contact hello@myfrenchdoula.com.
Information you give us
When you contact us, we receive the information you provide, such as your name, email address, phone number, service interests, timing and message. We use this information to respond to your enquiry, discuss availability and services, and communicate with you about your request. Please avoid sending detailed medical records or payment-card information through the general contact form.
How enquiries are stored
Enquiries and related correspondence are kept in our email inbox. We do not currently use a fixed deletion schedule for these messages, so they may remain there indefinitely unless deleted. Contact-form submissions are also stored in the website administration system. Website and email providers may retain technical records and backup copies according to their own policies.
Newsletters and promotional emails
We do not currently send newsletters or promotional email campaigns. Our contact form includes an optional, unchecked box where you can choose to receive occasional news, helpful tips and offers from My French Doula in the future. Your choice is recorded with your enquiry. Leaving the box unchecked does not affect your enquiry or access to our services. You can withdraw your choice at any time by emailing hello@myfrenchdoula.com. Any future marketing emails will include a way to unsubscribe.
Website providers and technical information
This website uses WordPress.com hosting and Jetpack forms. These providers process information needed to operate the website and handle submissions. Hosting, security and related services may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser information and access times. Our contact form uses Akismet to check for spam. Form entries and technical details, including your IP address and browser information, are sent to Akismet for that purpose. Our email service provider also processes the messages we receive and send.
Website statistics
We use Jetpack Stats to understand website visits, popular pages and referral sources. Automattic processes technical and usage information for these statistics, which can include IP addresses and approximate location derived from them. See Automattic’s visitor privacy notice for details.
Cookies and linked websites
WordPress and related services use cookies or similar technologies for functions such as sign-in, preferences and usage measurement. See Automattic’s Cookie Policy for examples and controls. Your browser settings let you manage or block cookies, although some website functions may be affected. Links to Instagram and other external websites lead to services with their own privacy policies.
Embedded videos
Some resource articles include videos hosted by YouTube or Vimeo. Loading or playing an embedded video connects your browser to that provider. The provider may receive information about your visit and use cookies or similar technologies. Third parties, including YouTube, may collect information about your activity over time and across different websites, depending on your settings and how you use their services. Browser privacy choices
Jetpack Stats is configured to respect browser Do Not Track (DNT) signals when recording page views. This setting does not control YouTube, Vimeo, or other external services. Their privacy policies explain the choices they provide.
Privacy requests
You can contact hello@myfrenchdoula.com to ask about your information or request a correction or deletion. We may need to verify your identity. Information may need to be retained for applicable legal, accounting or service-related obligations, and backup copies may remain until they are overwritten.
Policy updates
If our privacy practices change, we will post the revised policy on this page and update its effective date. We will also post a notice on this website about material changes.
